Bronze Dragon

The Bronze Dragon is awarded to the fencer with the most finishes in the
top 3 for the season. If there is a tie in number of top 3 finishes for
the season the fencer with the most 1st and/or 2nd place finishes gets the
award. If there is a tie across the board, the fencer with the finishes in
the strongest events (and/or events with the greater number of fencers
entered), is given the award. Good luck to all of our fencers and HAVE FUN!

If you have earned a finish of 3rd or above since August 1st, 2009 in a USFA sanctioned event with 6 or more please let us know. In events where 3rd is fenced off, rather than tied, we count the 4th place finish as a 3rd as most events do NOT fence off 3rd place. PLEASE record 4th place finishes! YOUTH FENCERS should record ALL finishes of 3rd or better, even if there are not 6 fencers, as we award a Youth Dragon Award at the end of season. Not all Youth Categories field 6 fencers so we count ALL results for Youths. GLSC League finishes do NOT count as they are not USFA sanctioned. League winners have a separate award at season end. We cannot always track your events for you as not all clubs post results online to AskFred. There is a canister by the back door at club that is for tracking results. Please drop in a slip of paper with: Name, Date, Name of event, Number in event, Placing, and Event rating (if known). You can also email the info to kim@glswords.com as she is tracking the results for Daniel this season. Thanks!
